Membership

Membership is open to any parent, guardian, or primary care giver of multiple birth children. For more information on membership options, please contact the Membership Chairperson at nmpommembership@gmail.com.

Please note that, due to Covid-19, we’ve made some adjustments to our programming. We are still a very active club, but our meetings and social activities are currently virtual and/or socially distanced to protect the health of our members and their families. During this difficult time, families need more support than ever; we are honored to be able to provide it to our members.

Membership Benefits:

  • Monthly general meetings (from August to May) where we have presentations and activities. Examples of virtual meetings include a painting night and a Halloween costume contest. Examples of past meetings include a discussion with a child therapist, tour of a local brewery and craft night.
  • Access to the Facebook forum group, which is a great place to ask any questions you may have about multiples and to buy or sell items. • An optional week of free dinners for new parents.
  • Access to our Gemini e-newsletter.
  • Information and resources from Multiples of America, the national organization.
  • A resource guide with useful information (i.e. twin registry tips, NICU information, post-postpartum depression resources, etc.).
  • If you are a member in good standing for 3 consecutive years, you are eligible to apply for our club scholarships, which are awarded to multiples starting elementary school (for extracurricular activities) through college.
  • A new parents’ brunch.
  • Special access and perks to our garage sale fundraiser. Members get in the night before for pre-sale shopping and get the seller registration fee waived.
  • Social events including playdates, a picnic, a banquet and more.
  • And, most importantly, access to a tribe of fellow multiple parents who can relate to your daily struggles and support you.

The membership is $30 (plus a small processing fee if you join online) and runs from August to July. We offer free one-year memberships to caregivers of triplets (or more) and people who have two sets of multiples. We also offer discounted memberships to those who live more than two hours outside Albuquerque and pro-rate the dues for those who join after April 1.

For information on how to join, please email nmpommembership@gmail.com. If you are experiencing financial hardship because of Covid-19, please let us know.

Thank you for your interest in NMPOM! We look forward to hearing from you!
